Preparing for Fence Installation

You’ve done it! You’ve scheduled your brand new fence installation with Superior Fence & Rail. Great choice, we assure you that you’re in great hands. Most of the work for you is done now that your fence installation is scheduled; however, it is a good idea to handle a couple of tasks before your installation day. Read the following guidelines below to ensure a smooth process.

We Recommend The Following:

  • Have your property survey available in case any questions arise during installation.
  • Make a plan to keep children and pets out of the area during installation, for their safety and our team’s safety.
  • Relocate any potted plants or other backyard items from within two to three feet of the fence line.
  • Identify any plants or trees that are near the fence that you’d like to protect during your fence installation.
  • Test your irrigation to make sure it is operating properly before installation and again after installation.
  • Request a private utility marking if you have underground utilities, such as pool pumps or gas lines, that were not marked by the public utilities.
  • Ensure the fence installation crew has access to water and electricity.
  • Be ready for possible challenges. Our fence pros are ready for just about every surprise during fence installation, but occasionally something unforeseen does come up. Our team will resolve any issue promptly and keep you informed along the way.
  • Schedule yourself to be present for the start and completion of the fence installation process to review and approve the project with the installation crews.
